This year Rudolf Buchbinder appeared as part of the InClassica International Music Festival in Dubai, where he performed alongside the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra to play Brahms’ Piano Concerto No 1, as well as teaching a masterclass as part of InClassica’s Middle East Classical Music Academy (MECMA) on 8th September. The great Russian pianist Denis Matsuev teamed up with renowned Russian conductor Alexander Sladkovsky and the Russian National Orchestra for the final concert of InClassica's impressive 30-day run. Presenting works by Sergei Rachmaninov and Pyotr Tchaikovsky, the musicians delivered a fitting send-off to the festival, with performances that left the Dubai audience in a frenzy, as they bestowed a raucous standing ovation upon the heads of the deserving artists.

Swedish violinst Daniel Lozakovich, who has already captured the attention of the classical music world at such a young age, graced the Coca-Cola Arena with his music for InClassica's penultimate concert, as the festival reaches the cusp of its ambitious stay in Dubai. Joined by the Russian National Orchestra, led by Mikhael Pletnev, Lozakovich interpreted works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Alexey Shor, with the orchestra also presenting music by Edvard Grieg over the course of the evening.

The 30-day InClassica International Music Festival is drawing closer to its completion, but as yesterday's concert showed, the calibre of its roster has not dimmed in the slightest. Two legends of Russian classical music lit up the Coca-Cola Arena, with those in attendance being treated to performances by both cellist Alexander Kniazev and pianist Mikhail Pletnev. Performing works by Richard Wagner and Alexey Shor, the two musicians teamed up with the Russian National Orchestra for the evening's concert, who were led by the Armenian conductor Sergey Smbatyan.
